Holidays / Camps
We have successfully run our tuition-based camps for adults, teenagers or younger children for five years now and almost everyone who has been on one has returned the following year.  Camps are tuition based with each day usually including two riding lessons and stable management sessions, but courses are tailored to suit the wishes of those on them.  Hacks including pub rides (for adults) can be offered and there are social activities too.  A social meal and visit to the races for adults, children may have a gymkhana or go bowling.

Do you fancy a break with your horse to relax, but you would also like to learn and build your confidence?  Come and join us on one of our camps.  Every day you will ride twice. This can include flatwork, show jumping, being lunged or hacking.  Learn some stable management (horse health, specialist tack, bandaging or anything that you feel you would like to know more about!), and if you would like to, do some  XC  too. All this whilst having time to relax with your horse and meet and socialise with like-minded people.  Adults camps include a good lunch and optional social activities in the evening.  We try to be as flexible as possible to allow for family commitments where necessary!  A list of local Bed and Breakfast places is available.  We can put you in a suitable group or why not come with a group of friends?
 2016 Dates:

Teenagers and Children
Not sure what they can do in the holidays?  Look no further!  Our camps are very popular and people come back time and time again.  Some are run as residential camps and children can be dropped off on a Sunday or Monday evening and picked up on a Friday evening for a 4 or 5 day camp.  Also very popular are our 3 day camps run 09.30-6.00.  Different ages and ability/confidence levels are split into different groups. Teenagers are run completely separately to younger children.
Days are designed so that parents can go to work if necessary.  On our day camps children can be dropped off earlier than the9.30am start by arrangement (£5) and picked up around 6pm. Some younger children can choose to be picked up at 4.00
As well as two sessions of riding, there are many other activities which are arranged.  These are confirmed nearer the time so that they are appropriate for individual groups, ages and levels of experience.  Activities may include stable management; practical sessions eg bandaging, plaiting.  In the evening we may do gymkhana games, le Trec, go bowling or swimming. Younger children's sessions are made fun and they learn through games as well as time with the ponies.
For teenagers included is lungeing, long reining, fittening, feeding and biting, information to help them to start or progress in competition, how to affiliate, different rules and competition experience.  An evening trip to the cinema can be included too.
